how do I add my husbands computer as an authorized computer

I have a "family share" account, and I have 4 authorized computers, but for some reason, my husband's computer suddenly gives him the message that his is not authorized for my iTunes account.

How can I see what computers are authorized?

How can I add an new computer/subtract an old one?

How can we share music that, technically, we both pay for, but happen to be on my computer?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Hi Melinda,

I've had similar issues. The answer is to open iTunes on the device you need authorised, then you can sign in (under any user in fact) and check that account's details.

Proceed to the Store view, on the right side upper is an Account Label, this shows you that users info, of the many things you can see is Authorised Devices.

You'll see the number of devices under that account which can play it's music ever etc.

Now From the iTunes Menu select Store and go down to Authorise This Computer, do this for the account you've just looked at and this will Add his pc as the Fifth device under your account.

You can can do this check from any computer with iTunes and look at any iTunes account info.

So the authorise feature is specific to which ever device your on at the time you do that.

Let me know,

Ross/.

iTunes application window (not Finder or a browser) > menus at top > Store menu > drag down to Authorize This Computer. (In earlier versions of iTunes access this option from the Advanced menu). This shows computers and iDevices that are authorized for Automatic downloads.

It does not show which computer are authorized for that iTunes account. (yes, it's flaky and Apple needs to work to better manage iTunes accounts, Authorized devices, iCloud accounts, etc.).
