iTunes showing wrong artist artwork. how do i find the image and delete it?

Try giving one of your Sting albums a 5 star rating. Close iTunes and reopen. The artwork used for the artist should change.

Thank gawd I found this thread, I was initially looking at the ATV4 forum and then noticed that, in the not used artist view in iTunes, it was wrong there too.

Actually it solved it in iTunes but the ATV4 still shows the old incorrect artwork next to the artists unfortunately

Is the ATV reading the media from your computer or from iTunes in the Cloud?

From the iMac, I have no Cloud content.

It's very strange that the icons updated within iTunes and not on the ATV4

You can reset the ATV to see if that will clear the cache.

Yeah thanks I'm aware, that's a last resort as factory reset would wipe all game data

Reboots and unplugging have had no effect

Factory restore did the trick, must have it saved in cache and doesn't renew that particular data despite it changing in the iTunes library

Thankfuly iCloud restored the game data and progress so it was just a case of setting passwords again.

It was only a little thing but it was annoying seeing the wrong artwork related to the wrong artist, combination of being anal about it and **** curious as to why it wouldn't reset

Glad you got it fixed. I was going to suggest you experiment with a test library in case it only bothers caching one library at a time. Signing out of home sharing and back in again might also have been worth a shot. I'll try to test them if I ever run into the same thing.

Tthat's the one thing I didn't do, I tried signing out of iCloud tho with no effect. I can only think that the ATV4 does one and one only grab of those icons, unlike those set in the album artwork which does change, and hangs onto it no matter what happens in the iTunes library
