substitute for 'clear' key?

On a basic Apple keyboard (without function keys or number keypad), is there a keystroke combination to input the "clear" command (= Unicode U+2327 = the key above the number 7 on an Apple number keypad)? This command is useful in an application I use frequently, and I want to use the smaller keyboard if possible. But I can't figure out how to input this on the smaller keyboard.
