Q: Bought a new ipad mini now unable to sign into facetime and imessage on ANY device

This is really beginning to wind me up and to be honest with you all is seriously testing my patience with Apple devices.

I own 3 devices now

iPhone 6 128gg

Macbook Air and recently purchase a nice new ipad mini 3 128gb

On purchasing the new ipad mini i proceeded to sign into my icloud account and set the device up, which all went without a hitch.

I then went out the following day and on my return not any of my devices will sign in to imessage or facetime, except my phone but only from the activation side through my telephone if i try to sign in by using my icloud username and password it just spins round and does nothing.

Same with my new ipad now if i go to sign into the device with either the imessage or facetime it looks like its going to go in and sometimes does but then signs straight back out again.

Its slightly different on my Macbook air where facetime signs in and then displays FaceTime wants to use your confidencial information stored in "IDS: (my icloud email username ) - AuthToken" in your keychain and soon as i click on any of the 3 options its just signs me straight out.

If i try to sign into iMessage it comes up with the error - Could not sign in to iMessage. An error occurred during activation. Try Again.

I have been into apple support for an hour but with no resolution.

Please can someone help ive tried completely resetting the keychain and have spent around 12 hours of my time on this now and its driving me absolutely mad.

I have nearly £2500 worth of equipment that isnt fit for purpose at the moment and if it doesnt get sorted soon i think it will leave a very bad taste in my mouth about Apple products.

Cheers in advance

Several users on the forum have had trouble signing into FaceTime & iMessage.  See this thread:

no FaceTime or iMessage on iPad with 8.2

The one fix that Demo refers to may help.

This is absolutely pathetic, if i sign into my devices with my girlfriends account everything is fine which leads me to the conclusion thats its something at apples server ends and my guess is something to do with the online keychain.

Apple sort this out because this is now beyond a joke i have around 2500 worth of equipment here that isnt fit for purpose !!!!

Under Settings->Messages. Does You can be reached by message at' and 'start new conversation from' contain the same email addresses/telephone number across your devices?

    Hi Mate,

Thats the problem nothing will sign in and when they do its only for around3 seconds, they do show the same my telephone number and 2 email addresses, it works on my phone because it activates with just my phone number but when i try to sign in with my icloud username and password it just spins and then comes back with the same screen.

Is there anyway to set a new icloud user up but somehow copy over the purchases, im seriously thinking of just wiping the lot as this is one of the worst experiences ive ever faced using mobiles etc and that it seems like a lot of people are having the same issue and NOTHING is being done about it, to me i think its something wrong with Apples servers and possibly corrupted.

    Cheers
