Q: Airdrop Doesn't work; the 2 clickable links at bottom of Finder are not displayed
I have an Early 2011 MacBook Pro running Yosemite and Airdrop is not working ... between any newer systems (iPhone 6 plus, iPad 2015, imac Retina) ... looks to be a fundamental issue:
When I view Airdrop in the Finder window, the two clickable links that are supposed to be at the bottom, "Allow me to be discovered by..." and "Don't see who you're looking for..." are not displayed
Anybody have an idea why these links aren't displayed? Without these, I can't even setup Airdrop and therefore can't use Airdrop. I see several other users had the same problem but didn't find any solutions
MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Check the "system requirements" section here:
Mac Basics: AirDrop lets you send files from your Mac to nearby Macs and iOS devices - Apple Support
As you can see, your MacBook Air is too old to transfer files using the standard AirDrop to/from an iOS device. Bluetooth has changed since your MacBook Air was built.
