getting audio back, after it's been deleted from the timeline

Hi,

I've been working on a scene which was going to have music on it, so I deleted the audio from the video. But now plan has changed and I need the audio back. I've tried double clicking the clip in the timeline doesn't play when it opens in the slug. Is there any easy way to get the audio back with the audio back with the clips (on the timeline)rather than taking it back out of the clips (in the bin) and re-syncing it?

Thanks

Well, this isn't easy (I'm hoping someone will have the easy solution), but it saves you having to resync things:

Double click on the video clip and it will show up in the Viewer (to the Left of the Canvas). In the upper left of the Viewer is the Duration of the Clip, and the upper Right is the In Point. Note those numbers.

Now open the original clip in your Viewer (you can find it by pressing Shift+F in the Timeline with the Playhead over the clip), and then enter the In Point number, set the In Point, then Shift+Right Arrow over once, set the Out Point, and then now just do an Over-write edit to your clip, and the audio should be back.

<phew> That sounds really hard. Ugh. It's not that bad, once you get the workflow down. Just annoying.

Hoping someone has something better for you.
