Change font size through entire document.

Hello wizards and wise men.

I've written an article in Pages, and when reviewing it I find that the font size of body text throughout the document isn't consistent.

I see font sizes in both 10 and 11, despite I've changed the size several times to 11 (and ensured the "star" was in the inspector window - e.i. Body*).

What am I doing wrong?

Can anybody tell me the right way to do this and/or the best practice for formatting text?

Thank you

SJ.

Select all of the body text that you wish to change, and in the Format panel, adjust the font size to 11 pt. In the future, you may wish to create specific paragraph styles that have certain font attributes — which you can apply to specific selected text. Unfortunately, Pages v5 lacks the find/replace font functionality of more capable word processors.

Styled text can contain exceptions, either because you pasted in other material or because you simply were inconsistent when you set the Style i.e. You had selected text that had multiple variations to form your style from.

Check you have say the Body text the way you want it, then with your text selected, double click on the Style in the Format side panel. This forces the style onto the text and will remove all exceptions, including bolds, italics etc. That text will then strictly be whatever the Style is formatted to.
