error re-installing iTunes
Hi,
I'm currently trying to reinstall iTunes on my desktop (Win7 64).
Things were runing fine but after an iTunes update things have gone very wrong.
Tried to resintall, but during the installation of iTunes i'm receiving error code.
At windows boot I got : install of iTunes : missing Apple Application Support. windows error code 2.
I have no error in windows update record, and my version of windows is up to date.
After desinstal everything (itunes, bonjour, software update, quicktime, ...) always same error on installing AppleApplicationSupport:
[An error occured during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32-policy",version="8.0.50727.6195",publicKeyToken ="1fc8b 3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to help and support for more information. HRESULT: 0x80070003], then another error lter in install process, then failure to start AppleMobileDeviceServices..., Apple Applicatio nSupport not found and Error2 (suggestion uninstall & reinstall)...
I have tried to remove everything, download the itunes6464Setup, unrar, and selective install of AppleApplicationSupport (as suggested in Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates - removing and resinatlling iTunes and other software components ) -> same error
I have tried the windows update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957310 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 but its still giving the same error
I have tried to reinstall quicktime first (quicktimeInstaller) as suggested in another post : same error.
i tried disabling real time scanning of antivirus (avast) and desinstall/reinstall-> fail again, no particular impact.
tried ; Re: Itunes won't install on Windows 7 Fail again, same error and same place.
Already spend several hours on it. read dozens of articles on forums. It should not be that difficult to install a software.
I'm running out of options, (beside moving away from iTunes).
Any suggestions ?
