VNC Black Screen?!?!?

This one is driving me crazy!! I have a fairly new Macbook Pro (about 3 weeks old) and I cannot connect to anything via VNC - the screen is always black. I am running Bootcamp and can connect to the remote machines via VNC from the windows side, but just get a black screen on the Mac side. I have tried both Chicken of the Sea and the VNCViewer from RealVNC with the same result. I have also tried repairing permissions and zapping PRAM and still no change... and I am baffled!!

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, it would be very much appreciated!!

VNC doesn't have a viewer for OS X, currently.

RealVNC does have a viewer for Mac, though to be fair it is in beta: http://www.realvnc.com/products/beta/macosx/

Chicken of the VNC is also available: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/

Regardless of Remote Desktop (which doesn't apply here as I need to remotely connect to 2 XServes and a couple of Windows 2000 Pro machines, my VNC isn't working on my Macbook Pro and I am not sure why...
