I want to use my emac to burn iDVDs from movies made in iMovie 5, but after upgrading to 10.5.8 I discoverd that iDVD 5 is not supported. What do I do now?

Find a version of iMovie that is supported in Leopard. iLife '08 may work. But older versions of iLife come in boxed sets that Apple no longer sells, so you will need to look for them on eBay or Amazon.

Do you think iDVD 6 would support iMovie 5 and run on 10.5.8? I'm afraid 8 would be too recent to work.
Yes, & iMovie 6HD is better than iMovie 08! OOPS! I don't have iMovie 5 to test. 😊
Download iDVD 6, along with iMovie HD. That should all be supported in 10.5.8
