I'm using MacBook 5,1 for at least 5 years now. It works perfectly fine,but battery is dead. They do not sell them in stores anymore, and I cannot find it online. Can someone give me a link,where I can purchase a new battery?

Are they safe though? Cause they are not originally from Apple store/manufacture right
Safe, how? Is your battery safe? Since Apple doesn't provide these batteries, then I suppose if you are so concerned then you should plan to recycle your computer and get a new one with a new Apple battery.
You could get "original" battery at Apple Store. Try make Genius Bar appointment and ask about it to them.
It's a vintage product which means Apple no longer produces hardware for it. I think finding a battery in a local shop would be very unusual.
