Start new conversation from missing

hello , the " start new converstion from " on iMesaage secriin is missing , why ? How can i Make i appear ?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.2

First try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays, see if the option appears under the Send and Receive section.

Next easiest thing to do is to make sure you do not have Restrictions turned on: Settings>General>Restrictions. If you do have them turned on, then make sure that under "Accounts" you do not have "Don't Allow Changes" turned on there. If you do, turn it off and try again.

You need to start from scratch: Sign off of iCloud and turn off Find My iPhone, then Go to Settings>Reset>Reset All Content and Settings.

This will completely erase your phone and allow you to set it up as a new device.

Do you have your own SIM for the phone?

The phone is new , is my girlfriend's phone . I signed out and i reconnect again and imesaage prompt tbat i cand send messages from phone number wich is grayed and my emaild adress . I uncheck the email adress and the number is the only checked ( btw , it cannot be unchacked) . Still the same problem no "start new conversation from " section . The real problem is that my gf sends me imesaags and on the Message app appear 2 chats ( one sms and another iMessage from email) ... Sorry for my bad English .

Are you talking about the Start New Conversation From setting under Settings>Messages>Send & Receive?

i tryed the reset many many times , and now again , no solution , and the Restrictions are Off ...still " start new conversation from " missing .

OK, so you now need to sign out of Messages altogether, and then sign back on again. This is an active phone with a phone number associated with it correct?

Is it new? Any history?
