Unknown error -39 occured

I subscribed to a podcast and my pc locked up while downloading a new podcast episode. When I restarted I click the GET button to redownload the file and it wont. Clicking on the ! sign shows that an unknown error occured (-39) stating there was a problem downloading. The URL is correct and there is a file. I try to unsubscribe and resubscribe but still not able to download that particlular episode. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I've noticed a couple of posts now about this, and as an offical answer has not been forthcoming, here's how to resolve it.

Go to your Podcast download directory (iTunes/Download). There should be a directory in the Download directory for each Podcast causing the error. Delete all these Podcast directories (but not the Download directory itself).

Go back to your Podcast library and click Get. The podcast should now download properly. It certainly worked for me.

Thanks for the reply. I was having exactly the same problem and though it might have been something to do with half finnished downloads.
