I am having a hard time with Imap vs Pop accounts. my me.com and gmail.com addresses do not send and receive all like they are separate ... Pop accounts work great. How do I change those two to make them pop accounts???

Hi, haven't used Outlook since the 90s, so not sure what to do in it.
gMail can be either POP or IMAP, me.com only can be IMAP now, I think we should work on why IMAP isn't working, but to change gMail to POP you need log into gmail Webmail in a browser & set preferences there, then you'd need a new account likely in Outlook, as it uses different ports & protocols.
Any messages in Outlook that could help us?
I was able to contact Apple and just switch to mail and ditch outlook, I guess I have to learn new things.. even tho... I dig my feet in the sand.. 😟
