Q: syncing ipad with pc

I want to sync the music I have on the ipad to the itunes program on the new pc. Can I do this and if so how? I want to keep the music I have on the ipad too.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 8.2, I have Windows 8.1 64 bit

To transfer the songs you've purchased on your iPad to iTunes on your computer, please follow the directions in the link below.

Thank you so very much for your answer. It was exactly what I wanted to hear and I've done what you said and now have the songs etc. on my laptop.
