Unable to login or startup

MacBook wouldn't startup at all, just continually restarted to grey screen with apple and spinning grey loading, kept chiming then restarting

restarted holding d for hard drive test, it showed no error

restarted then tried to verify and repair disc, it said there was a "journal error" that couldn't be repaired, error erasing disc could not erase, repaired three times but journal error remained

quit and restarted holding d but it said hard drive test did not support the computer

restarted with install disc 1, flashing folder with question mark

restarted with disc holding c, showed flashing globe, then flashing folder with question mark again

restarted holding option, showed blank grey screen with house on screen, but flashing globe with diagonal stripes on top of hard drive icon appears

restarted with disc holding option and it shows a disc icon labelled with an arrow button and mouse on grey screen, when arrow button is clicked it freezes even after 20 mins

i have time machine backups saved but I cannot even load the startup or login


please help!
