I bought my iphone 6 from UAE and moved to Canada, I cant use the facetime right now! How to go about this?

I recently bought my iphone 6 from Dubai and moved to Canada. There is no Facetime inbuilt in my phone for some reason. How to go about getting Facetime on my phone ASAP?

FaceTime is banned on phones that originate form the Middle East, so any phone purchased in a Middle Eastern country, including Dubai will not have FaceTime on it - your Governments ban it.

Unfortunately, even if you move to another country where FaceTime is not banned, you will never be able to get FaceTime on that phone.

So to answer your question - there is no way to get FaceTime asap on your phone ever.

If you want to use FaceTime on your phone, then you will have to buy a new phone from a country that does not ban FaceTime, so if you have now moved to Canada, then I would suggest that you sell the phone that you purchased in Dubai to fund the purchase of a new Canadian iPhone.

Ok here's what you should (or at least try) to do. UAE blocks the use of FaceTime whenever your iPhone's location is within the UAE.

Many people had the same issue as you guys, but FaceTime worked again once they traveled back to a country that doesn't ban this feature.

But it seems that you should restore your iPhone so that it can detect that you're in a new location where FaceTime is not banned. Please try to do this and let us know if it worked!

Good luck 🙂
