What the subject says. I have an extensive and well organized iPhotos library which I use in conjunction with my Apple TV. I would like to continue viewing my photos via Apple TV.

To answer my own question, yes. Yes it does.
I have just finished my first import from iPhone (IOS 8.3) to the new "Photos" app for OSX Yosemite (version 10.10.3 (14D136)). I cannot see any of those photos from Apple TV (3rd Gen). I can see all the photos imported to my iMac using previous versions of iPhoto. I have made an album in "Photos" out of all the new photos imported (that's a crock - but that's another story) and yet I still cannot see those photos from the apple tv.
Photo album sharing with the Apple TV is done in iTunes, not Photos or iPhoto. See the Stream photos from your computer to Apple TV section of iTunes 11 for Mac: Play items in your iTunes library using Apple TV (2nd generation or later) for the basic steps (they haven't changed in iTunes 12).
My guess is you aren't seeing the album folder because in the iTunes Photo Sharing Preferences window (accessed through File > Home Sharing > Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV), it either is still set to share photos from iPhoto, or if it is set to use Photos, it is set to share selected albums & your newly created one is not among them.

Thanks for your reply. I did have the iTunes settings as you described, i.e. "Photos" and All Albums (not selected ones) I have found that if I quit iTunes and restart it then the Apple TV picks up new photos addd to my "Photos" app. This wasn't an issue with iPhotos. So far I have had to repeat this restart each time I have uploaded new photos to "Photos" on the iMac.
In iTunes when I select "File > Home Sharing > Choose Photos to Share with Apple TV", all I see is a spinning clock symbol. I never see any choices for which photos to share. Is there some other setting that is required to see photos from the Photos library on my Apple TV?
