The info I find for the Laserjet 1000 shows that they never released Mac drivers for that model. That is a problem

HP's general support for the Linux platform could possibly even open the door for experimental Mac OS X adaptions/solutions.

However, a Power Macintosh 7500/100 runs System 7.5.2 (with a special enabler) up to Mac OS 9.

So, if you absolutely want to use the printer in question, you would probably have to connect it to a Windows computer. If necessary, you could use the now free program PrintToPDF to produce PDF files of documents on the Power Macintosh 7500/100. These files could then be transferred to the Windows PC for printing.

If file transfers take place on a regular basis, one can install a small FTP server (such as the now free NetPresenz) on the Power Macintosh 7500/100. A local connection from other computers can be established through Ethernet (via a router with a built-in switch). FTP clients would allow the other machines to access files on the server.
