Yosemite 10.10.3 Update Will Not Install

All:

Soooo....today's 10.10.3 update will not install on my iMac (new i5, 2.7GHz, etc.). It gives repeated corrupt download and "did not install" errors, asking me repeatedly to restart and repeatedly trying to re-download the darn thing.

The other portion of today's update (the thing that improves Yosemite's compatibility with Time Machine) installed fine.

Anyone else having trouble??

Bill

UPDATE #2: Okay, now I'm having the EXACT same problem on my wife's 2012 MacBook Air. The first time through, it downloads the entire "combo" update of 2.02 GB or so. However, only the "OS X Yosemite Recovery Update" installs properly. The "OS X Update 10.10.3" update reports corruptions, file cant be verified, etc. and asks me to try again repeatedly. Upon the re-tries, it only downloads the 1.52GB remaining of the "combo" update.

There's DEFINITELY something wrong with the update files/process for this one in the AppStore. No question in my mind.

I have repeatedly tried to install v10.10.3 Yosemite and it downloads about 1.31 GB of the 1.52 and then says it is now going to restart in so many seconds, it counts down and then a window comes up saying "the available updates have changed" and ends there, I never get as far as "Installation"..Recovery update downloaded and installed just fine. Don't know what to do from here. Is this a problem with my computer...2011

The issue I am having is with OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Supplemental Update 10.10.3

It downloaded fine, but when my MacPro reboots it hangs and then I have to power off. Then when I restart, it still shows the update as waiting on a machine restart. I have tried it at least half a dozen times and each time the same thing.

Any suggestions from anyone?

Thanks.

I had this issue over and over in my MBP mid 2010 when first installing Yosemite.

Had to dig REALLY deep in forums to get the answer that worked for me: the RAM modules weren't originals and thats a problem in Yosemite. I had personally upgraded from 4GB to 8GB and it seems the new memory isn't completely Apple compatible. Then I just inserted the old modules in and it installed right away. Later I've re-inserted the new modules and it works. Sometimes I get a few kernel panics, but it was common in Mavericks already. Looks like Yosemite is more sensible regarding non-original memories, when performing system changes, than other OSx versions.

So, if any of you guys made a RAM upgrade, I highly suggest you to insert the old modules and check if the update works then. 😉

Let me know if it helps.
