Apple TV takes too long to load a video

I recently moved house. Up until that point I had internet and no problems with my apple tv at all

I have setup the network exactly as it was before. All of my media is in iTunes and we access it via

homesharing

Since we moved (and now no longer have internet), every episode/video we select to watch - the spinning cog comes up

and it takes at LEAST 3 minutes for the selected content to start playing.

Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), Active Directory, Open Directory

Is this material purchased from itunes store, as it normally needs internet authorisation (unless they fixed that!) fro protected content.

Most likely thing it seems to me is that your wi-fi is not as effective at the new locastion and it takes far longer to buffer media from the computer.

All the content is local on my Server (HP Proliant running itunes)

I have changed wifi channels as well to see if this solved the issue but no luck!

I am going to try another router this evening and see if I experience the same issue.

I am having exactly the same issue. Moved house and now starting a movie takes minutes, not seconds... I've got both the Mac and ATV connected via ethernet to my Airport Extreme base station, but have no explanation for this bizarre slowdown. I also don't have internet currently, but I can't understand with content not purchased on iTunes, why that would make any difference...?

I have had no luck with this issue.

I have updated the Apple TV, I have connected it via ethernet cable.

Nothing has solved this issue.

Have you had any luck?
