Q: iOS8.3 permissions issue

Hi,

First post on these forums.

I downloaded iOS8.3 for my iPad today and it did its thing. But when it went to sync it said

"iTunes could not connect to this iPad. You do not have permission"

I had permission and absolutely NO issues before the update. What had gone wrong.

Pls help.

TIA

iPad Air, iOS 8.3

    Hello,

I think this link should help you: Authorize your computer in iTunes - Apple Support

    Cheers

    Hi.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately it didn't work. I got a message saying

    "This computer is already authorised"

If I start from plugging the cable in, the first message I get is

"Do you want to allow this computer to access information on <iPad name> iPad?" CANCEL or CONTINUE

    I select continue

At the same time my iPad displays a message saying

"Trust this computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected" TRUST or DON'T TRUST.

Obviously I select TRUST. However, when I do then I get the message mentioned in the first post.

"iTunes could not connect to this iPad. You do not have permission"

I have no idea whats happened. But process of elimination suggests its something to do with the latest update.

Make sure all the apps on your iPad been purchased under one account.

From your computer, try signing out of iTunes then signing back in.

I had the same issue after updating to iOS 8.3.  I found to fix it I simply went into the iPad's Settings, iCloud and had to re-enter my password.  Evidently it had logged me out during the upgrade.  When I then went to iTunes on my mac it immediately recognized the iPad and started syncing again.
