Q: os x 10.10.3 installed and wifi slowed down

I installed OS Xver 10.10.3 last night and now my wifi connection has slowed down. Connections very slow or drop out. My wifi is working. Did the update cause these problems?

iMac (20-inch Early 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), wifi problems

Someone here recommended turning off Bluetooth - I don't use bluetooth, but updating to 10.10.3 turned it on...

So I turned it off and Hey Presto ... lightening speed browsing / wifi again! Just need Apple to sort Bluetooth out in next update.

    Try it ? !

Tried almost everything from this thread. For me worked to switch the router from 40MHz to 20MHz

    Before (40MHz)

    Now (20MHz)

    Hope that will help you.

I'm running a 60-person office, all Macs. There's no denying that an inordinate number of the systems here that have upgraded to 10.10.x are experiencing new wifi issues. System will be fine at first but will soon slow to a crawl. Turning off and then back on wifi resolves the issue for a while.

I've done all of the voodoo - zap PRAM, run Onyx to clean up prefss, rebuild DBs, etc. Nothing fixes this. I'm hiring a wifi specialist to come in and audit our system but, considering that these problems seem to have arisen w/ 10.10, I'm not sure I can blame the wif

This is ridiculous - Apple needs to fix its $h!t.

    Hi,

My problem was that when I start up Safari initially it took a very long time to connect to the internet via WiFi. (Once connected, the connection was fine).

The following solved my problem (the first suggestion listed in the link below)
