thunderbolt display not working

For awhile now (since the firmware update?) the screen would occasionally go off after giving a distorted view for a few seconds. It would come on again after a few seconds. I came into the office this morning and it won't come on at all. When I hook it up to my MacBook Pro the light on the power cord blinks green on and off slowly (~1 second).

None of my attached hardware (disk drive, USB bus with keyboard, trackball and iPhone) attached work either. I've troubleshot this by testing my MacBook Pro with its own charger as well as hooking up all of the hardware directly to the computer. Everything works fine. I've unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in to no avail.

This is a mission critical display used in a business. A quick response would be appreciated.

Thank you, Kevin

Well, I took the display to the Genius bar and of course, the problem couldn't be reproduced. It worked fine. I took it back to the office and it worked here too. Until today. Yesterday it began flickering like it had before and today wouldn't come on at all. I've done additional troubleshooting including:

  1. Unhooking all hardware so that it is only the MacBook and the TBDisplay
  2. Resetting the PRAM
  3. and Resetting the SMC

The green light on the power cord from the display is still blinking green about every three seconds. That is a message of some type but after extensive searching online, can't find out what.

Any ideas? I'm at wit's end. Thanks in advance.
