I just did the OS X update and then the iTunes update and now my iTunes won't open on my Mac mini. I click the icon and it doesn't do anything and I even tried opening it in my applications folder and it still won't come up. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, how do I fix it?

I had this and managed to fix it:
This worked for me:
1 Go to the finder menu bar at the top of the screen
2Click go
3 click applications
4 go down to iTunes and right click on Show Package Contents
5 open contents folder then go to mac os folder
6 open the terminal marked iTunes in that folder
This should force it to open and function enough, it will not allow importing of music from a desk top

I followed exactly your steps and it surely worked like a magic on my Mac, iTunes was saying that it is not available in my country even though I reside in US (Georgia)

I'm having the same issue. I restarted - no luck. I also downloaded and reinstalled iTunes directly - no luck. The terminal method works, but it's clearly a problem to be fixed soon.

This works, and its definitely better than using a tool like app cleaner etc. because its precise, only the damaged pats are replaced. This solved the issue for me.

I won't use/open any package content or terminal. I just pretend to open my iTunes, normally.
