Q: Manually Manage/Sync Issue

I have an iPhone 5C. I saw today that iOS 8.3 is available, and when I tried to download it I got an error saying I needed to free up space on my iPhone. I looked and saw that there are old movies on my phone taking up a lot of space, so I went into iTunes to delete them.

I clicked "On This iPhone" and then went to the "Movies" tab

When viewing in iTunes, there are 6 movies listed on my phone but they are grayed out and I am unable to simply delete them.

My only option appears to be "Sync Movies" but won't this delete everything on my phone?

My iPhone has ALWAYS had "Manually Manage Music & Videos" selected. If Manually Manage Music & Videos is selected, why would I run into this issue? Why would it force me to sync when I don't need or want to?

Bottom line, someone please help me delete these old movies without having to sync and wipe my iPhone.

Thank you so much!!

Taylor
