Missing "My Photo Stream" album on ipad

Missing "My Photo Stream" album on ipad

I have a Mac running Yosemite 10.10.3, and an iPad Air 2 and an iPod touch, both running iOS 8.3. There used to be a "My Photo Stream" album which would sync newly taken photos from either iOS device to that album so I could access it on all three devices. There is, in fact, a "My Photo Stream" album on Photos for Mac, but there is no such album any longer on either iOS device. I'm sure it is a setting of some kind but I cannot find it. All settings between iPod and iPad are set identically but no Photo Stream.

Photos that are taken on either iOS device do show up on the Photos for Mac Photo Stream album but not in between the iPad and iPod.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Settings->Photos & Camera. Make sure My Photo Stream is toggled on in both iOS devices.

Thanks for your support but the problem is still there.

I installed 8.3 in my IPhone and in my iPad.

While the photo stream remained in the iPhone it disappeared from the iPad.

The "my photo stream" is toggled on both.

Update, I've just took a picture with my iPhone and now the "my photo stream" is back on my iPad with this picture only.

Since you reset photostream (toggled off then on) it would only show photos from the past 30 days:

I have discovered the answer: Now it Photos for Mac the former album "My Photo Stream" has been eliminated. Photos taken with any device now are present in the "All Photos" album on all devices, including Photos for Mac.

Do photos from your Mac (imported from something other than your iPhone) show up on your iPhone?

Pictures I take with my iPhone show up in the Photostream on my Mac- but nothing on my Mac shows on my iPhone.

if iCloud photo library is turned on then photo stream album will not show.

I see that. But why is that? Don't I want iCloud photo library turned on? I find this all very confusing.

Then turn iCloud Photo Library off, it is optional. Doing so will return your Camera Roll and My Photo Stream, but your My Photo Stream will likely be empty since photos only remained there for 30 days (although they remain on your device indefinitely, unless you turn My Photo Stream off or restore your iPhone).
