i have flashing grey dots in my calendar and the battery is draining very fast

Hi,

My battery has started to drain very quickly in the last couple of days. it now only lasts about 3 hours after a full charge. After playing with it for hours, I can only find one strange thing. The grey dots in my calender (that show when you have an appt) are constantly blinking. I believe this may be draining the battery. Does anyone know why these are blinking and how to stop them.

I using an iphone 5s
