When tagging faces, OSX photos will provide recommendations from your contacts or previous names used. My 5 year old added a bunch of random selections and i cannot figure out how to delete them. I have renamed all the faces tagged in error but I still see the random digits as possible selections when adding face tags. How can I remove these? In Iphoto I could do so in faces.db but I don't see anything in the app or photos folder. thanks for your help!
BtW, I tried combining/merging with a legit face name and simpky renaming the tags neither worked
I've got same problem with names for faces. I can't get rid of the names which are not in my contacts application. Anyway, in the Photos library container there are two database files in database folder called Person.db and Person.db-wal. These db files contain 'unuseful' face names but how to edit the files to get rid of them?
Also there are suggestions for duplicate face names in some rare cases and the software doesn't seem to sync the picked name with person in contacts app.
Anyway, I hope the faces are also synced between different Macs but nothing like that.
I don't see the person.db or person.db-al files. I find the photo library in finder and then unpack the contents. I searched for these names and still don't find them. Odd....
I can't find the databases either and I wish it was easy to remove these wrong autofill suggestions as I have them too. Hopefully someone will jump in with a solution or ideas to try. You would think they would make this easy as it is so easy to accidentally type in the wrong name.
To find these database files, right click on your Photos system library container, choose 'Show Package Content', which opens the container, where you can find database folder, which contains both of the database files as you can see on the attached screenshot. But, I don't have any ideas how to safely edit these files.
My directory looks different. I do have a faces folder that has additional folders named 'detected, 'detected externals,'face externals,'face names.' These folders are all blank except the 'detected' folder which has oddly named files. For example, %QvX%%HlQ+WeWfv7t4sEWw.apdetected

I believe this program can edit .db files. I have used it to view inside my iPhoto DB but have never made changes. http://sqlitebrowser.org
I Found the person.db file but the SQLite program can't open it. Bummer...
Still no solution to this, this seems like the most simple and obvious request. Every other application like Safari and other apps have a method to clear autofill suggestions for mistyped info, come on Apple!!
