Blocking ads on iPhone apps

If you put your phone in airplane mode the ads will not appear. This; however, is due to the fact it restricts internet usage. For apps like YouTube, Social Medias, etc. this is obviously not useful. The is no way to block ads in the way you are looking for... Sorry! But games that you can play offline, airplane mode all the way!

Why / how would VPN help? it has nothing to do with ad blocking. There is no way to block ads.
