iCloud Photo Library doesn't load photos on cellular

I have a similar problem. I smashed my iPhone 6 last week and used my insurance to get a replacement. I restored my most recent backup to the new device over iCloud and all seemed to have gone smoothly.

However a couple of days ago I noticed that whenever I tried to view a photo from my library, it was low res and had a 'pie chart' style loading symbol in the bottom right of the screen, while videos have a spinning loader in the centre of the screen for a long time (dependant on the length of the video)

Is this something to do with iCloud photo storage? I'd really rather have all my pictures and videos actually ON my phone so that I can view them while not connected to the internet...

I'm having the sam issue. Photos load fine over WiFi, but not on 4G. I have mobile data on for "Photos" in settings.

I have turned off iCloud photo Library on my iPhone 6 and turned on a gain.. But this didn't resolve the issue. next step will be to try a restore and re-instate my back up to see if this fixes it.

Yeah man I m getting the exact same problem coming here to look for a solution. I hope we can solve this soon :/

Same issue - can't find a solution. The 'loading photos' are also not recognised on iPhoto so I can't upload them. Has anyone been able to find a fix?

Hey guys, I was having the exact same problem but I found a solution. In addittion to allowing ""Photos" to use cellular (General > Cellular > Use cellular data for:) you must also enable cellular data for iCloud Drive (General > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Use Cellular Data).

That’s the same problem for me, only my iPhone is in 11.02 and the photos have the same blurry thing but they won’t load on WiFi either
