Mac won't boot

I used to switch normally between mac and windows but now everytime I turn on my mac, windows open, even if I choose mac to work, windows open, this only happened after I changed the RAM, I tried many ways to solve this problem and asked many people but there wasn't any single result

it's a power Mac OS X snow leopard version 10.4.9 and the RAM brand is Kingston, my RAMs were 1 GB for each one so 8 GB for total then I bought 2 GB RAMs for each one so now it's 16 GB, it worked perfectly at first then suddenly the Mac started to freeze sometimes, i guessed 16 GB RAM is too much for it, so i changed to the old RAMs and Mac never opened again, Windows only open.
