Problem "The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported."

Hi,

I connected a portable hard drive to my Airport Extreme. I can see the hard drive in Airport Utility / Disks but I'm getting an error when I try to connect this disk from Finder / Network / Airport Extreme. I googled and didn't find a solution.

How can I connect the portable disk from Yosemite?

There was a problem connecting to the server “Airport Extreme”. The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the problem.

I experienced the same trouble with MacBook pro and AirPort Extreme up-to-date.

Reset is not , never will be, a solution. In the doubt, reboot ?! *** !

But I solved that by connecting first to the AirPort.

In the Finder, "Cmd" + K to connect to the server.

Type "smb://192.168.1.1" (the @Ip of the Airport)

And try after to connect successfully the AirPort 😉
