iPad and iPhone wont connect via Bluetooth

Recently upgraded to 8.3 on 5s and iPad and they will not show up as as discoverable devices on the iPad or iPhone. Prior to the 8.3 upgrade they were able to connect to each other.

I am able to connect to other Bluetooth devices on either device, but they are unable to connect to each other, so i don't believe this a Bluetooth issue

I have turned Bluetooth off on each device, re-started with Bluetooth off, and then turned back on. I have even tried to forget network settings on the iPad and neither device will pickup the other as an available device to connect to.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3

Howdy MM-RVA,

iOS devices do not support pairing to each other using Bluetooth as you would with a headset or keyboard. This article shows the profiles that are supported for use with iPads and iPhones -

Is it possible you were using AirDrop to transfer files between your two devices? Some applications allow transfer of files using AirDrop on iOS devices. See this article for how to do it -

Specifically I had tethered the iPad with the iPhone for internet access. Yes, I know i can just activate the hot spot on my iPhone and connect via WiFi, but before the 8.3 upgrade this could be accomplished via BT. I wasn't sharing files, it was only for internet access. As mentioned before prior to 8.3 both iOS devices were discoverable to each other, but since 8.3 they are not.
