Q: can I keep the iPhotos i don't like the new photos
Hi All.
When I downloaded the latest upgrade today,
I didn't expect to find a completely different Photo library
I don't like the layout and I seem to have hundreds of photos that I deleted, re-appear how did that happen?
Thankfully iphoto is still on my computer. please tell me that Apple are NOT going to get rid of it as I really do not like the new PHOTOS.
I don't want to log into my photo library and see hundreds of photos everywhere.
At least with iphotos you can see events and just a main photo for each folder.
So, my main concern is that iPhoto is not going to be taken away?
How long will it still be available before Apple decide they will no longer support it?
Thanks all
Tricia

You can continue to use iPhoto, however Apple has stated that they don't intend to support it any further, so you won't see any updates for it in the future, and future versions of OS X may not support it at all.
If you've already run the conversion to Photos, note the paragraph on this page: Get started with Photos for OS X - Apple Support
Using iPhoto and Aperture after you migrate to Photos
iPhoto — and Aperture, if you downloaded it — remains on your system in the Applications folder, and you can continue to use it. If you open iPhoto or Aperture after you upgrade to Photos, you’ll be asked if you want to open your library there or in Photos.
Any changes or edits you make in iPhoto or Aperture aren't reflected in Photos. And any changes or edits you make in Photos will not be reflected in iPhoto or Aperture.
