I am experiencing a very slow boot-up on my 2013 MacBook Air 13" after having installed the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 upgrade. Anyone know why? My wife is experiencing the same slow boot on her MacBook Air.

Start up in Safe Mode. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18760
Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18761?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Repair Disk. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH5836
Open the Startup Disk pane in System Preferences and select the startup volume. You don't need to restart when you do this.

thanks for instruction, both rest PRAM and chose startup disk did solve the problem. but I still think that apple should solve such problem before they release the update.

After searching and finding lost of chatter about "disk repair" and "PRAM resetting" I stumbled across this thread.
Now my 30 seconds of "black screen" during bootup (where I often looked that the apple on the lid to see if my laptop was even "on") is thankfully a thing of the past.
