Why will my iPod not connect to my WiFi?

My iPod 5 does not seem to connect to my WiFi. Other devices connect and neither does it connect at other houses. The only other place it connects is my school and right next to my router. It recognizes the WiFi but does not work. What should I do? I've all ready tried network settings, backing it up, and restarting.

What you mean "not connect to wifi." does it say wrong password ? or unable to join network ?

Did you check your VPN and APN settings? What can I advise you is that restart your modem, hard reset, reset networks settings on device, and setup as new device. Useless to ask but you're in wifi range.. ? and how your IP number starts..?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? You said sort of. If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.

Does the iOS device see the network? Yes

Any error messages?

Do other devices now connect? Yes

Did the iOS device connect before?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost Done

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on your router

.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings Done

- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network

- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. Not clear you did this

If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
