Factory Settings

I tried to reset my iPhone 4 (erasing all content) and after I did so, my lockscreen came up black but had the time and the date etc. Now its been about 9-10 hours and my phone is still out of use. I can receive calls but cant hear much, and when i try to hang up my phone resets itself all over. When the phone is actually on the screen and I slide to unlock, it again resets itself all over again. I don't know what to do, can I please have suggestions into fixing my phone.
