Q: 24" iMac 7,1 hard drive failure
After moving across oceans the HD has failed on the iMac. Booted into a cloned drive via Firewire but neither Disk Tools nor Disk Warrior will make the internal HD appear. So before I sell it (or replace the HD) I'd like to erase the HD. I can pull it apart and do that but if there is anyway to avoid that I'd be grateful for suggestions.
I love this old machine:
| Processor Name: | Intel Core 2 Duo |
| Processor Speed: | 2.8 GHz |
| Number Of Processors: | 1 |
| Total Number Of Cores: | 2 |
| L2 Cache: | 4 MB |
| Memory: | 6 GB |
| Bus Speed: | 800 MHz |
but those FW jacks are so unreliable I will likely just replace it.
