Can I buy a lightning cable with USB?
Is it possible to buy a cable with usb. Travelling overseas shortly and taking iPad, camera and I want to be able to access my portable hard drive to upload and download photos.

You can't use any Lightning cable to connect to a portable HDD from an iDevice.

If you buy it from Apple Online Store, you'll get an order number. Don't loose it.!
This adapter is great for connecting peripherals to your iPad but iOS does NOT support connect external storage devices via a USB connection.
