Q: Yosemite 10.10.3 Update fails from Apple Software Update Server
MAC OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite Failed to Update after Multiple attempts
FROM current Yosemite OS X 10.10.2 TO Yosemite OS X 10.10.3 during the last 24 hours
Tried the following Without success:
- APP Store Updater
it starts to download the update and simply quits with no indication of progress.
It returns to the "Update" button.
All the other current OS updates (such as iTunes 12.1.2 and OS X Recovery updated show "Installed"
- Stand alone Installer OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update
- Verify/Bypass Network Proxy to allow incoming Update OS X: Server addresses used by Software Update - Apple Support
- Reboots
- Safe Mode Boot
- Disk Utility Permission Repair
The error that the APP store update generates is
An error has occured
Can;t load data from the Apple Software Update server
Other strange effects of this attempted update have been
MAC is slow to respond to file access and saves
Will not save from Preview
iCloud Drive shows No files and status of 0 files yet iCloud drive management shows space is still occupied
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.0.x)
