Q: Can you sort photos in shared albums by date?

I am starting to share parts of my photo library with my family through iCloud. So I am gradually adding photos to shared albums.

 

Unfortunately, the photos do not appear in any logical order in the shared album, so I would like to have them or see them sorted by the date they were taken.

 

For some reason, however, the "Keep sorted by date" menu option is not enabled for shared folders.

 

Any ideas?

    Shared albums are inherently streams, and they used to be called "Shared Photo Streams". The photos will always be arranged in the order you add them to the stream. If you want a shared album to be sorted, add the photos in the order you want them in the stream.
