Since upgrdaing to 10.10.3 the folder that shows is documentz which I don't use. How do I change this? I've done it before but I can't remember

Click on the dropdown and select another location.
I don't think I was clear enough. The Documents folder comes up every time. I want to set the default to something else. Since upgrading to 10.10.3 it always reverts to Documents. I don't know how to switch off this solved my question
You can't switch off the 'This solved my question'.
Change it to what you want, save a document to there, and then try it again. It should retain the new setting.
It used to be set to the last folder used which to my way of thinking is much more useful. Is that possible or is that terminated by 10.10.3
