Q: My ipad crashed and I am getting Error 4005 and 4013. What can I do?

My ipad will only show the apple logo on the screen. I have plugged in to macbook to itunes and tried an update and a restore. It

tells me it cannot do that and I get Error codes 4005 or 4013. I have arranged for repair. I need to clean it before sending it off.

How/What can I do?

I just updated to 8.0.3.

Hi Mary Servis,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like you are getting an error when restoring the device. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
