Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you want to delete apps which are listed in your iTunes Library, simply select the apps and then press delete on your keyboard.

I tried that multiple times but it doesn't work. When I press delete I simply get a quick "buzz" indicating an erroneous move!
(Note: I am referring to the aphabetical list of apps to the left of the display showing all the apps as they appear on the iPhone.)

If that's not working for you, then try right clicking on the app in iTunes and then selecting delete. To delete from the library you will need to have the Apps in iTunes selected, rather than viewing what is on your iPhone.
