My mac air osx 10.10.2 wont print in color to my cannon mg8100

I came here looking to find a way to print in grey scale earlier while I was making up a flier to print from home. Now that I've followed your instructions to click Quality and Media - Grey Scale I cant get it back to printing in color - HELP! I followed the instructions back to Quality and Media and unclicked grey scale but it still wont print in color again. What do I do to get it back to printing in color?

Howdy JenfromAL,

The steps outlined below can help resolve most issues you may encounter with your printer in Mac OS X.

These steps may resolve printing issues that have no other clear cause.

  1. Open the Printers & Scanners pane of System Preferences, then select your printer and click the minus (-) button to remove it from the list.
  2. Follow the steps in the previous section to add your printer.
  3. If the issue persists, reset the printing system, then follow the steps in the previous section once more.
