Need to upgrade my OS X 10.6.8 to 10.10; Do I need to go incrementally?

Afternoon, I need to upgrade my Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to the latest OS (Yosemite 10.10). Do I have to do it incrementally, or can I do it in one upgrade? I have the following specs: 2.66 Hhz Intel core 2 Duo, @GB 800 Mhz, DDR2 SDRAM.

Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Hello.

Your answer was very helpful, but I also have a follow up question.

This is the info about my MAC (an old iMac from 2007):

Nome modello: iMac

Identificatore modello: iMac6,1

Nome processore: Intel Core 2 Duo

Velocità processore: 2,16 GHz

Numero di processori: 1

Numero totale di nuclei: 2

Cache L2: 4 MB

Memoria: 2 GB

Velocità bus: 667 MHz

Versione Boot ROM: IM61.0093.B07

Version SMC (sistema): 1.10f3

Numero di serie (sistema): YD72100PVGN

Hardware UUID: 00000000-0000-1000-8000-0017F2CE6F1C

As you can see we only have 2G of memory in the computer (we have an external drive of 1T)...

The QUESTION - can we upgrade from OS X 10.6.8 (see below for full specs) to 10.10.3?

Our main reason is that we can not seem to sync iPhone (with iOS 8,.4) with iCloud. Seems to be that the reason is due to the OS of the iMAC.

Versione sistema: Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)

Versione kernel: Darwin 10.8.0

Volume d'avvio: Macintosh HD

Modalità di avvio: Normale

Nome computer: iMac di antonella

Nome utente: antonella (antonella)

Memoria virtuale sicura: Disabilitato

Estensioni e Kernel a 64 bit: No

Tempo trascorso dall'avvio: 3:12

We thank you in advance for your assistance.
