Q: cannot find file

While trying to view video imported to Photos from iPhoto I get a message that says "Photos cannot play this video because it cannot find the file." Some of the home videos will play while others will not and give me this message.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

    FWIW.

     

    I've had a few files come over with incorrect dates and things, but when I go back and check them in iPhoto, I find that there is actually something wrong with them there, so (at least in my case) it isn't the Photos application that is a problem.

    Hi

    I have the same issue.

    WhenI try to export from iphoto an avi file and then import it to photos I have this "Nothing to import. None of these files can be imported into your Photos library."

    I did not really understand how you managed to import them...
