Photo stream missing with iOS 8.3 on ipad

I Installed iOS 8.3 approximately three days ago on both my iPhone 5C and my iPad Air. I noticed that my iPad no longer had photo stream but that my iPhone did. I thought nothing much of it until today when I took a picture with my iPhone which didn't sync over to my iPad. I have iCloud Photo Library on and upload to my photo stream on for both devices. Both devices have been connected to wi-fi for all but a couple of hours these last several days. I do see that my iPhone is about a third of the way through trying to upload 868 items ... either it's going to take another six plus days for the rest to upload (assuming the upload continues at the current sloooooow rate) or the upload has bogged down and won't complete. Any advice?

I Have the same problem with my ipad mini. After installing ios 8.3 when I opened photos it asked if I wanted to use icloud to store my photos. I replied yes and then Photo Stream completely disappeared from my ipad. I have no idea how to get it back, I know it's there cause i can access it from my computer but I can't get it with my ipad so I can't see any of my pictures in photo stream from my ipad.

Overnight, I plug in my iPhone and iPad to an electrical outlet to charge up. One morning, after they'd been plugged in all night and were fully charged (and connected to wifi), I discovered that they had synced photos. Now instead of Photostream, everything is in All Photos. I'm not sure if all 3 conditions (plugged into an electrical outlet, fully charged and connected to wifi) are all required for syncing to occur (obviously I'm sure wifi is). Nor do I know if syncing will happen instantaneously or on a "schedule" ... assuming the required conditions are met. Give plugging in your devices and charging them to 100% while connected to wifi a try and see if you can find the photos that had previously been in your Photostream.

Go to Settings then Photos on the iPad. Click "Download and Keep Originals" and your photo stream comes back. Click "Download and Keep Originals" along with "iCloud Photo Library", "Upload to My Photo Stream" and "iCloud Photo Sharing". When you download version 8.3, it defaults to "Optimize iPad Storage"

Spent awhile with apple on the phone. The tech finally went to a higher up and told me to shut off icloud photo library under settings/photos & camera, then reboot the ipad. Said it would take upto 10 minutes, after about 30 minutes of the ipad spinning a wheel in front of me I figured it was locked and exited settings and rebooted. Now I have photo stream back, but I can't get access to the pictures that were already on it, just new one's. If I turn photo library back on photo stream disappears again, so I guess I have to live with it like this. It's a real bummer, but at least I still can get the old pictures from my windows computer. I hope Apple fixes this problem with their next update!

Same issue here.

New photos from my iPhone (iOS 8.3), Mac Mini (OS X 10.10.2), or MacBook Pro (OS X 10.10.3) show up in the iPad's "My Photo Stream" Album. Existing photos that are in my Photo Stream will not download to the iPad, no matter what I try. I tried rebooting, a hard reset. Syncing with my Mac Mini told me that the photos already on my iPad were already imported, do you want to delete them ? When I answered Yes, to delete them, they stayed on the iPad. The only way to delete them was to delete them manually from the iPad.

iPad running iOS 8.3:

Settings -> iCloud -> Photos:

iCloud Photo Library: OFF

My Photo Stream: ON

iCloud Photo Sharing: ON

Settings -> Photos & Camers

3 settings above - same

Photos Tab, Summarize Photos: ON
