Both my phone and my daughters phone rings whenever either of us get calls. Help!

My daughter updated her iPhone 6 recently and ever since, both her's and my iPhone 6 ring whenever either of us get a call. She isn't even on my verizon acct. Her dad pays for her's. She is under my apple ID though. I've gone thru every thing I can think of in my system tools but am not able to fix the problem. Suggestions???

I did search, several times and came up with nothing. I certainly don't need your sarcasm! This is supposed to be used for help. Not to try and make someone else feel foolish. Not everyone is an expert, hence the term SUPPORT! Either I searched the incorrect area or didn't term it correctly. Maybe next time give a supportive answer/suggestion along with your sarcasm. Thank you for nothing but making me feel like I needed to defend the fact I came on and asked a question.

Thank you! Did that, prior to coming on here, both numbers are listed on each of our phones, but not highlighted/checked. Now I am only getting my daughter's calls. She no longer is getting mine. Not sure where the problem is. My older daughter works for Verizon Wireless and she suggested getting my younger daughter her own Apple ID. As of now, I have her under my Apple ID for obvious reasons. Do you think that may have anything to do with it? It's just a bit frustrating. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

It has EVERYTHING to do with sharing an Apple ID. You can get her a separate Apple ID and enable family sharing.

But that isn't the only answer:

This is a feature called "continuity." You can answer either phone from the other. If you don't want it go to Settings/FaceTime on each phone, turn it on if it is off, then turn off iPhone Cellular Calls. You can then leave FaceTime on or turn it off, as you desire.
